The words of 17 year-old Misty Croslin are no less harrowing today then the night she and the child’s father, Ronald Cummings, telephoned 911 to report the little girl with Turner’s syndrome was missing from her bed.

The investigation that ensued was strangely secretive and ultimately led to nothing amidst whispers of drug trafficking, police corruption, child prostitution, child pornography, white slavery, rape and murder.

Because of ties between HaLeigh's father and local law enforcement, the investigation into HaLeigh's whereabouts could not be properly conducted. Frustrated, HaLeigh's maternal family enlisted a national advocate, private investigator, attorney, and media team to pressure the sheriff's office into investigating HaLeigh's father, Ronald Cummings.

Shortly thereafter the family made contact with an independent reporter from Minnesota named Timothy Charles Holmseth. Their private investigator told Holmseth what was going on was horrible. “It’s so f---ing evil I can barely talk about it without crying,” he said.

In February of 2010 the Federal Bureau of Investigation contacted Timothy and requested a meeting. He was interviewed by the Minneapolis FBI and provided them copies of some of his audio interviews.
